The work Job Rebuked by his Friends, pl. 10; The Vision of God, pl. 17, from the Illustrations of the Book of Job 2 by William Blake was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June last year. It achieved a price of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,948.61), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Blake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gambols Of Ghosts According With Their Affections Previous To The Final Judgement in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 722,500.00 (€ 531,875.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
