Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in London held the auction The 10th Anniversary Irish Sale, which included the work Mountainous Lake Landscape With Travellers On A Path In The Foreground And Boats On The Lake Beyond by William Ashford. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 31,200.00 (€ 45,541.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Ashford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A View Of The Bridge At Charleville Castle, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, A Figure On The Bridge And Other Figures With A Dog Near The Water'S Edge in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 296,712.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion The 10th Anniversary Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountainous Lake Landscape With Travellers On A Path In The Foreground And Boats On The Lake Beyond von William Ashford zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 31.200,00 (€ 45.541,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
