In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work The River Clodiagh at Charleville Forest, Co. Offaly, with the castellated farm buildings and gothic dairy in the distance by William Ashford. It changed hands for a price of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 164,008.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by William Ashford have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2015 the work A View Of The Bridge At Charleville Castle, Tullamore, Co.
