This artwork by William Acheff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. In the American Paintings auction, the work Middle Rio Grande Valley sold for USD 67,000.00 (€ 42,391.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Acheff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Taos and Beyond, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 94,553.71).
