Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Black with Yei 10 x 16 in. framed 15 3/4 x 21 3/4 in. by William Acheff was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,952.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Acheff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taos and Beyond in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 94,553.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Black with Yei 10 x 16 in. framed 15 3/4 x 21 3/4 in. von William Acheff kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.952,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Acheff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Taos and Beyond im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 94.553,71).
