Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work Profile of a Man's Head in the style of a Greek Tragedy Mask by Willi Soukop. It changed hands for a price of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,232.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Willi Soukop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boy in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,673.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Profile of a Man's Head in the style of a Greek Tragedy Mask von Willi Soukop zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.232,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willi Soukop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boy im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.673,98).
