Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Love in the Tree by Willi Soukop was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,307.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Willi Soukop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boy in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,673.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Love in the Tree von Willi Soukop kam im September 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.307,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willi Soukop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boy im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.673,98).
