A top price for Willi Soukop - as previously expected
The work Boy by Willi Soukop was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,673.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Boy is the most expensive artwork by Willi Soukop that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Boy von Willi Soukop wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.673,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Boy das teuerste Kunstwerk von Willi Soukop, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
