Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures on a frozen stream near a farm house by Willem Vester was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Vester have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes in April 2005 with an auction result of EUR 16,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures on a frozen stream near a farm house von Willem Vester kam im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Vester auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.800,00.
