Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work A Sunny Landscape With Cattle Near A Farm by Willem Vester. The price achieved of EUR 4,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Vester - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes, which sold at auction in April 2005 for EUR 16,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sunny Landscape With Cattle Near A Farm von Willem Vester zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Vester mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes beobachtet, die im April 2005 für EUR 16.800,00 versteigert wurde.
