The work Summer in Holland by Willem Vester was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2014. The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Vester achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes in April 2005 with an auction result of EUR 16,800.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Summer in Holland von Willem Vester kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Vester erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes im April 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.800,00.
