Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Skaters on a frozen waterway by Willem Vester. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,436.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Willem Vester have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2005 the work Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes was auctioned for EUR 16,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Skaters on a frozen waterway von Willem Vester zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.436,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Willem Vester konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2005 die Arbeit Heemstede bij Haarlem: peasants at the outskirts of a village in the dunes für EUR 16.800,00 versteigert.
