Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cowherds and cattle on a footbridge in an Italianate landscape by Willem Schellinks was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 10,531.80 (€ 4,598.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Schellinks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Landscape With The Tiber And The Ponte Molle, Rome in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 208,138.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cowherds and cattle on a footbridge in an Italianate landscape von Willem Schellinks wurde im Mai 2000 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 10.531,80 (€ 4.598,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
