This artwork by Willem Schellinks achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2019. In the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work A donkey laden with baskets, seen from behind sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,096.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Schellinks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Landscape With The Tiber And The Ponte Molle, Rome in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 208,138.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Schellinks erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna wurde die Arbeit A donkey laden with baskets, seen from behind für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.096,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Schellinks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Landscape With The Tiber And The Ponte Molle, Rome im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 208.138,08).
