Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Verdant Bali (Woman In Front Of A Hut) by Willem Dooijewaard was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,895.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Willem Dooijewaard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Selling Fruits in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 426,795.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Verdant Bali (Woman In Front Of A Hut) von Willem Dooijewaard wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.895,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Dooijewaard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Selling Fruits im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 426.795,26).
