Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Balinese men with fighting roosters by Willem Dooijewaard was sold in the Made in Holland auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 18,900.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Dooijewaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Selling Fruits in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 426,795.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Balinese men with fighting roosters von Willem Dooijewaard wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in Holland bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 18.900,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Dooijewaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Selling Fruits im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 426.795,26).
