Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fruit Seller by Willem Dooijewaard was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,447.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 140,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Dooijewaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Selling Fruits in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 426,795.26).

Die Arbeit Fruit Seller von Willem Dooijewaard kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.447,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 140.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Dooijewaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Selling Fruits im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 426.795,26).
