Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Willem Dooijewaard could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Drawing Of A Kampong changed hands for HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,541.07) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Dooijewaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Selling Fruits in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 426,795.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Dooijewaard konnte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Drawing Of A Kampong für HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.541,07) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Dooijewaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Selling Fruits im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 426.795,26).
