This artwork by Willem Dooijewaard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Balinese Woman at the Spring sold for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 24,792.12) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Dooijewaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Selling Fruits in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 426,795.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Dooijewaard erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Balinese Woman at the Spring für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 24.792,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Dooijewaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Selling Fruits im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 426.795,26).
