It achieved a price of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,667.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Dooijewaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Selling Fruits in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 426,795.26).

Die Arbeit Balinese Man with a Horse von Willem Dooijewaard kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.667,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Dooijewaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman Selling Fruits im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 426.795,26).
