Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Willem Cornelis Rip could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Windmill On The Edge of A Village changed hands for EUR 480.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Cornelis Rip achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Molens bij Elshout in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 32,900.00 (€ 14,396.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Cornelis Rip konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings wechselte die Arbeit Windmill On The Edge of A Village für EUR 480,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Cornelis Rip erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Molens bij Elshout im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 32.900,00 (€ 14.396,40).
