Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 4,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Cornelis Rip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Molens bij Elshout, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 32,900.00 (€ 14,396.40).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Cornelis Rip mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Molens bij Elshout beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 32.900,00 (€ 14.396,40) versteigert wurde.
