Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Fishermen in the dunes by Willem Cornelis Rip for EUR 776.75. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Cornelis Rip achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Molens bij Elshout in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 32,900.00 (€ 14,396.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fishermen in the dunes von Willem Cornelis Rip für EUR 776,75 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Cornelis Rip erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Molens bij Elshout im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 32.900,00 (€ 14.396,40).
