Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A View Of A Village In The South Of France by Willem Alexander Knip. The price achieved of EUR 1,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Alexander Knip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of the Prins Hendrikkade with the St. Nicolaaskerk beyond, Amsterdam in September 2012 with an auction result of EUR 11,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View Of A Village In The South Of France von Willem Alexander Knip zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Alexander Knip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of the Prins Hendrikkade with the St. Nicolaaskerk beyond, Amsterdam im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.250,00.
