Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Girl On A Bicycle by Will Barnet for USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,292.21). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Will Barnet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Silent Seasons - Summer No. Ii in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 106,387.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Girl On A Bicycle von Will Barnet für USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.292,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Will Barnet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Silent Seasons - Summer No. Ii im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 106.387,74).
