This artwork by Will Barnet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2017. In the American Art Online auction, the work Young Woman with Cat sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,809.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Will Barnet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Silent Seasons - Summer No. Ii in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 106,387.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Will Barnet erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art Online wurde die Arbeit Young Woman with Cat für USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.809,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Will Barnet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Silent Seasons - Summer No. Ii im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 106.387,74).
