Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Will Ashton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in November 2009. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Australian Rue Mouffetard sold for AUD 16,800.00 (€ 10,244.26) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Will Ashton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Australian kosciusko sold at auction in August 2008 with the realized price of AUD 21,600.00 (€ 12,608.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Will Ashton erzielte im November 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit Australian Rue Mouffetard für AUD 16.800,00 (€ 10.244,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Will Ashton; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Australian kosciusko im August 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 21.600,00 (€ 12.608,96).
