Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Orange Square, Central Theme by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,329.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glacier (Bone) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).
