Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wilfrid de Glehn could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work A reclining nude with a subsidiary study of arm changed hands for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,034.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfrid de Glehn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Under the Willows in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 285,043.32).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfrid de Glehn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Under the Willows im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 285.043,32).
