Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portus, Val D’Aosta by Wilfrid de Glehn was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,250.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfrid de Glehn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Under the Willows in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 285,043.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portus, Val D’Aosta von Wilfrid de Glehn kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.250,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfrid de Glehn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Under the Willows im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 285.043,32).
