In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction British Impressionism, which included the work The Palladian Bridge, Wilton House by Wilfrid de Glehn. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,919.54), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfrid de Glehn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Under the Willows in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 285,043.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Palladian Bridge, Wilton House von Wilfrid de Glehn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.919,54) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfrid de Glehn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Under the Willows im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 285.043,32).
