Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Whitney Bedford could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | London auction, the work The Hurricane changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 440.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Whitney Bedford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled Iceberg (Purple Floats) in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,320.01).
