In August 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Online | London, which included the work Starry Night by Whitney Bedford. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,245.50), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Whitney Bedford have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled Iceberg (Purple Floats) in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,320.01).

Im August 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Starry Night von Whitney Bedford zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.245,50) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Whitney Bedford auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled Iceberg (Purple Floats) im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.320,01).
