In April last year Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Heart of the Sunrise by Wes Lang. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,537.58), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wes Lang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Unity Within in September last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 257,589.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heart of the Sunrise von Wes Lang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.537,58) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wes Lang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Unity Within im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 257.589,70).
