In October 2008 Christies in London held the auction Old Master, 19th Century, Modern & Contemporary Prints, which included the work Begegnungen, Verlag Galerie Alfred Flechtheim, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Frankfurt M., 1922 (Hoh 3732-3744) by Werner Schramm. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,186.60), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Werner Schramm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der Selbstmörder in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 42,160.00.
