The work Two Works: i) Staring at the Sea No. 6, 2003; ii) Bird's Eye View, Shanghai, 2005 by Weng Fen was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2011. The auction ended at the price of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,504.69), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Weng Fen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Beautiful World-Bird Nest in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,832.54).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Two Works: i) Staring at the Sea No. 6, 2003; ii) Bird's Eye View, Shanghai, 2005 von Weng Fen kam im April 2011 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.504,69) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Weng Fen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Beautiful World-Bird Nest im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.832,54).
