Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Untitled (3 Panels) by Wenda Gu. The price achieved of USD 60,000.00 (€ 44,863.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wenda Gu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,980,000.00 (€ 387,801.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (3 Panels) von Wenda Gu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 44.863,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wenda Gu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.980.000,00 (€ 387.801,04).
