Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wenda Gu could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Gu'S Phrase Series: Wind And Bamboo changed hands for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 14,156.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wenda Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,980,000.00 (€ 387,801.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wenda Gu konnte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Gu'S Phrase Series: Wind And Bamboo für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 14.156,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wenda Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.980.000,00 (€ 387.801,04).
