Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Pseudo Character H9 And H12 (Two Works) by Wenda Gu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,723.70). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wenda Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,980,000.00 (€ 387,801.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Pseudo Character H9 And H12 (Two Works) von Wenda Gu im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 23.723,70) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wenda Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.980.000,00 (€ 387.801,04).
