Admittedly, works by Wenda Gu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,980,000.00 (€ 387,801.04).

Die Arbeit Pseudo Chinese Script Series (Two Works) von Wenda Gu kam im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 79.000,00 (€ 55.559,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wenda Gu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.980.000,00 (€ 387.801,04).
