Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China, which included the work Mythos Of The Lost Dynasty: Sink-Float by Wenda Gu. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 38,020.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wenda Gu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 3,980,000.00 (€ 387,801.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mythos Of The Lost Dynasty: Sink-Float von Wenda Gu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 38.020,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wenda Gu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drama Of Two Culture Formats Merge C1-C3 (Three Works) im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.980.000,00 (€ 387.801,04).
