This artwork by Wen Qiqiu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III auction, the work Various Subjects sold for USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,158.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wen Qiqiu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Various Flowers sold at auction in October 2013 with the realized price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,234.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Qiqiu erzielte im September 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy III wurde die Arbeit Various Subjects für USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.158,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wen Qiqiu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Various Flowers im Oktober 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.234,22).
