Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work River Landscape, 1928 by Wen Qiqiu for USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,013.87). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Asian Works of Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Qiqiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Various Flowers in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,234.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit River Landscape, 1928 von Wen Qiqiu für USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.013,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Asian Works of Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Qiqiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Various Flowers im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.234,22).
