Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Landscape by Wen Qiqiu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 12,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,616.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wen Qiqiu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Various Flowers in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,234.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Wen Qiqiu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.616,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Qiqiu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Various Flowers im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.234,22).
