Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Plum Blossoms Studio by Wen Ding. It changed hands for a price of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,503.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Ding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Journey To The Red Cliff in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 550,000.00 (€ 61,930.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms Studio von Wen Ding zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.503,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Ding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Journey To The Red Cliff im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 550.000,00 (€ 61.930,82).
