A top price for Wen Ding
This artwork by Wen Ding achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Journey To The Red Cliff sold for HKD 550,000.00 (€ 61,930.82) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. This high result makes Journey To The Red Cliff the most expensive artwork by Wen Ding that we have observed at auctions so far.
