Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session), which included the work Night And Day - Day by Wei Jia. The price achieved of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,196.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 250,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wei Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nowhere to Escape IV in April this year with an auction result of HKD 720,000.00 (€ 735,260.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Night And Day - Day von Wei Jia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.196,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 250.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wei Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nowhere to Escape IV im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 720.000,00 (€ 735.260,87).
