Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work FACE III by Wei Jia. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 480,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 540,000.00 (€ 65,302.80). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wei Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nowhere to Escape IV in April this year with an auction result of HKD 720,000.00 (€ 735,260.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit FACE III von Wei Jia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 480.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 540.000,00 (€ 65.302,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wei Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nowhere to Escape IV im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 720.000,00 (€ 735.260,87).
