The work Cry For The Wall by Wei Jia was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 56,067.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wei Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nowhere to Escape IV in April this year with an auction result of HKD 720,000.00 (€ 735,260.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cry For The Wall von Wei Jia kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 56.067,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wei Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nowhere to Escape IV im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 720.000,00 (€ 735.260,87).
