In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian, which included the work Roses/ Cage With Cups And Flowers by Wee Shoo Leong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,710.20), 16% above the upper estimate. With this result, Roses/ Cage With Cups And Flowers is even the most expensive work of art by Wee Shoo Leong that we have observed at auctions so far.
